Professional Background

My name is Rogério B. Paes – Founder of RPT Training, a fitness professional with a solid career and extensive international experience in strength training, athletic performance, and sports management. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Sports Training, and I am certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) in the United States as a Personal Trainer and Performance Specialist.

With over 25 years of experience as a Personal Trainer and Physical Preparation Coach, I have worked with a wide range of clients, from the general population to competitive athletes from different sports. I am also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and have spent more than three decades working as a judge in the World Bodyboarding Tour, gaining extensive experience in international competition environments.

I am also the author of books and educational materials on strength training, program design, and training splits, focused on simple and effective training methods.

My professional expertise includes strength training, body transformation, weight management, fitness assessment, and program design. I work with one-on-one training, small group training, and structured training programs designed to deliver safe, consistent, and long-term results.

My work philosophy is based on simple, effective, and science-based training, with a strong focus on building muscle, improving health, quality of life, and longevity.

RPT Training

 

RPT Training was founded in 2018 in San Diego, California, and started in a simple way — inside a garage, with the idea that effective strength training does not need to be complicated or require a large facility. From the beginning, the focus has always been on simple, efficient training and real results.

Since its foundation, RPT Training has worked with a wide range of clients in the San Diego area, including beginners, adults over 40 and 50, and people looking to build muscle, lose fat, improve mobility, and live a healthier, more active life.

Today, RPT Training offers online coaching, in-person training, hybrid programs, and small group training, always following the same philosophy: simple training, consistent work, and long-term results.

RPT Training was created to make training accessible, efficient, and sustainable, especially for adults who want to improve their health, build muscle, increase strength, prevent injuries, and maintain independence and quality of life as they age.   

We believe that strength training is not only about building muscles, but about improving overall health, longevity, mobility, confidence, body composition, and long-term well-being. Strength, hypertrophy, health, and longevity are all part of the same process.
